I've been running the Zyxel WAC6503D-S for over a year now with zero complaints. However I'm now having to move, and I strongly suspect that a single AP will not adequately cover the new home's footprint. In fact, I'm guessing I may need up to 3.
Now, as far as I know I can give them all the same SSID/password and devices **should** roam between them as needed. However, is there any benefit to a home user pairing these AP with at least a limited controller, like what one might get built-in to the ZyWall 110? (Although I think I'd have to pay to upgrade from 2 to 3 AP control.)
My current USG200 has no such capability, and although I'd intended to replace it at some point due to inadequate throughput for gigabit, the new house can't get nearly as fast net service (just 80/40) so it's more than capable of that.
