I only now realized that our USG-60 has a nightmare connection for the power. Didn't have to touch it much, so I never knew until now. It's a horrible connection. Not sure if problem is from the adapter or internal components. Tried spraying with high level contact cleaner but it doesn't help.
The person sold it as 'new' but it turned out (thanks to Zyxel confirmation) seller had already registered it. Now I know why. :( I'll have to say, this device is built like a tank. So many times it's cut power (off, on, off, on etc., never proper shutdown...) and yet it's still working solid (as long as we don't even touch the rear power cord). Just touching it can make it lose power. :( Wish I would have known earlier. Even setting it up I don't recall this. But I had basically plugged it in and left it.
And here I thought I'd seen it all. ;) Even more reason to update or change it.
