Alright, one of my new Zywall 110's came in today.
The first thing I did was hook it to a console port so I could log its bootup info.
Right away I see a line that says: U-Boot 2011.03 (Development build, svnversion: u-boot:422M, exec:exported) (Build time: Feb 21 2013 - 13:27:33)
Hmm - Development Build?
Anyway, I went into the Web GUI and configured the thing to match the LAN and WAN and login screens of the USG200 it is replacing.
I then told it to restart which it did.
I then tried using the CLI commands via the console connection and none of them work except Reboot and Exit.
All other CLI commands via Console Port give me:
Parse error
retval = -1
Not sure what is up but I've never had a Zyxel product not allow me to use any of the CLI commands.
I even typed a ? mark which listed the valid commands after I'd logged in with my username and password.
I then tried upgrading the FW even though it was already at the most current.
Actually, before I tried upgrading the FW, I reset the thing back to factory default and made sure the default config was loaded but still no use of any CLI commands other than Reboot and Exit!!
I do seem to be able to configure ok via the GUI and the thing does route and my tunnels built but that is where I stopped configuring the 110 as I discovered I could not use CLI commands via the console port.
Anyone else with a new Zywall 110 confirm the same or have any suggestions for me in case I've missed a simple step like a CLI command that enables CLI commands?!!
Thanks everyone
