Hello!
I have a modem/router adsl2+ connected to the wan1 port of the usg 100.
-usg 100 is 192.168.1.1 (lan1) and wan1 is 192.168.0.3 set automatically
-modem is 192.168.0.1 on port lan1 (of the modem)
wan1 interface in the usg is set as:
interface type: external
ip address assignment: get automatically (is set automatically to 192.168.0.3)
the rest is default and mac address setting is on default mac address (the mac of the wan1 port in the usg)
the problem is the ip/mac binding log:
there are continuous log entries of the usg 100 that BLOCKS PACKETS from 192.168.0.1-MAC ADDRESS (MAC of the modem LAN1) from 192.168.0.1 (the ip that i use to log into the GUI of the modem) to 239.255.255.250 or something similar as DROP PACKET 192.168.0.3(wan1 in the usg)-MAC ADDRESS same of the LAN1 of the modem or external IPs as for example Bit Defender Internet Security servers for the updates of the suite I have on the PC-mac address of the lan1 of the modem.
in the ip/mac binding I set the ip address of the wan1 port on the usg automatically to 192.168.0.3 with the MAC address of the wan1 interface and the IP of the modem with the mac address of the lan1 of the modem.
if I reverse the MACs to these 2 IPs the situation doesn't change, still logs about DROP PACKETS but simply is impossible to be if the MACs are correct and binded correctly.
Don't understand why this is happening cause for the lan and dmz settings and ip/mac bindings the are no problems in the usg.
