First I would like to thank the folks that have contributed to this forum. Getting my USG40 setup was much easier because of the accumulated wisdom of this group.
I ordered a USG40 that wouldn't hold a WAN connection. A second unit solved that problem and has been running well for the past couple of weeks with one weird issue:
I have an alarm panel connected via Ethernet to the DMZ zone of the USG. I have a rule that allows traffic from LAN1 to the DMZ. The applications that interface with the alarm stay open.
On one of the computers (that uses a different application), whenever I log into the USG's admin mode or when I am looking at information in the USG monitor (Sessions open by port, for example), the connection resets between the alarm and the one computer which causes a communication error in the app.
Has anyone had anything similar? I am wondering if the Zywall gets too "busy" when the admin interface is being used and for a very brief moment stops properly routing between the DMZ and LAN1?
