I have a ZyWall 70 and am trying to get the WLAN interface to work.
This is a 64 MB Z70 with bootbase version 1.08 - 07/04/2005, and firmware V4.04(WM.4).
It's behaving like the router doesn't have an interface on the WLAN at all. I'll plug things into the WLAN ports and they can't see the router to get a DHCP address or to see the internet.
The ethernet switch in the router is working: I've plugged two devices in with static IP addresses and they can ping each other.
I've googled around in old DSLreports forum posts, and it sounds like once upon a time people thought that plugging a WIFI card in could make it start working, but that doesn't help:
I've tried this with and without a prism based 802.11b pcmcia card.
With the card in, the router recognizes the card and lets me define and configure the access point parameters, but nothing I've been able to do lets the router see anything plugged into the WLAN interface, and anything I plug in can't see the router.
The system log is full of messages like
WLAN MAC fetch process start.
and
Error: 404 Not Found.
which seem to be related.
Is there no way to get this router to actually make the WLAN useful?
