I am looking to replace a Zyxel USG-50.
This router is used for a hotel in a resort in Phuket Thailand , and the internet providers supply a very fluctuating international speed.
Local speed is good, 2 x 100 Mbps and 2 x 50 Mbps optic fiber.
We added two more internet providers, so we need a load balanced router with at least four WAN ports.
So far I found:
Zywall USG-310 for $1350
Peplink Balance 580 for $3200
Peplink Balance One for $495 included an extra license for a fourth port WAN port, but it has a 5000 session limit.
Mushroom Truffle Lite $3400
Mikrotik Router RB1100AHx2 $349
Mikrotik Router CCR1009-8G-1S-PC $425
Ubiquiti Edgerouter Pro $339
The Zywall and the Peplinks have an easy configuration menu, Peplink offers 7 load balancing methods.
The Microtik's and Ubiquity's Edgerouter have very fast hardware for an interesting price, it take some time to learn, maybe less stable and need experimenting with load balancing scripts.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
